About Computer Class
Computer class at PMS offers students a chance to explore a variety of technologies and skills. Students work in a self-paced setting where they have full control over what projects and technologies they want to learn. This digital classroom uses flexible seating and self-paced digital tutorials to engage students in today's most current technologies.
Students will enjoy the hands on activities that computers offers, which includes; Robots, Drones, 3D Printing, Laser Printing, and Game Design. Read more below to see exampls of some of the specific projects students can work on.
Computer Project Examples

Students will have the opportunity to work with two different robots in class if they choose. The finch robot has many sensors and will help the students learn programming and create
robot designed art work if they chooose to use this robot. The second robot is the CUE Robot. Students will have a chance to learn programming with this fun interactive robot should they choose this project.
Drones
Students will have the opportunity to learn basic programming skills while exploring
the world of unmanned flying aircrafts using the Tello EDU Drones. These drones are designed to be flown indoors and are
a popular project choice in computer class.
3D Printing
Students will have the opportunity to learn 3D design using TinkerCad to create and model
3D objects. Then students are able to learn how a 3D printer works to create their own creations to take home.
Laser Printing
Students will learn 2D graphic design using Canva and then create images
ready for a Glowforge laser printer. Students will have multiple projects to creatively display their learning and make something they can take home.

and create a wide range of projects to demonstrate their learning. Programming is also incorporated across many of the other classroom projects.
