About PE/HEALTH Class

In P.E./Health, you will learn about life skills that will be needed in order to live a healthy life. In Physical Education class, you will be introduced to a myriad of different sports and activities, some that you might not have even played before. These activities serve as an introduction into becoming physically fit. As the Plano Middle School P.E Teacher, I understand that each student's interests and skills are different from others. That is why we introduce students to multiple sports, and I will also teach to various skill levels. I also base all my instruction around a fitness-based construct, meaning that I show you how each activity will improve the different areas of fitness.

Those areas are: • Cardiovascular Endurance • Muscular Endurance • Muscular Strength • and Flexibility

You need these 4 Health Concepts in order to live a healthy lifestyle, and as the P.E. Teacher, I plan on integrating these concepts into your student's academic experience.

As for Health Class, your students will be learning about various topics such as Body Systems, Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs, Mental Health, as well as many more! The Health curriculum is designed to focus on student's understanding of content, refusal skills, and building a positive self-image. Health Class is also a class that will teach students how to live a healthy lifestyle.
